Now there’s a lot of history between these schools… No mi naw tawk bout di incident wid di ducta and di Hugh’s girl…. Wi talking SCQ.. FOCUS PEOPLE!!  As many of you know Glenmuir has copped the title several times.. 4 to be exact. But what many of you DIDN’T know was that St. Hugh’s was thheeeeeee first winners of  SCQ  pluussssss the ONLY all girls’ school to win the competition. By the looks of things I guess once is good enough.. It’s one more then JC.. Anyywaayyyy, I must comment that although they didn’t win, they lost graciously with vim, vitality  and vigour… Mi woulda  gi dem a prize fi di nicest  looser. Jah know.. A nuff mistake mek tonight… They were leading after the Opening Challenge. Glenmuir tek back road ketch dem up in the speed section.. Den di buzzer tun EVERY BADY inna ediat. Glenmuir  did caylis like Gully Bop woman.. Although they won, it could have been by a better margin.  So alas Las Fidelitas Chicas get Beatas!!! Adios senoritas. Final score 29 – 14

Sooooo… Ahhmmm… T  To   Tonight’s match …. Wow… What can I say?   Charlemont High vs Spauldings High… Hmmmmmmm… What a way gas gone up again eeehhh??? Mi seh di Farin Affairs Building downtown  going up so fasssst. Chiney man dem naw ramp…… National have a new sugar free bread.. Noice u si!!..   I think cabbage gone up again and tomato reach $200 a pound… Hmmm.. cyan tell when last mi eat fry dumpling.. Let’s see …. What else can I talk about.. ??? Portia hair look so healthy  and nice since she retire.. all di ends trim and she do  deep treat.  Full a body is a shame. When last uno eat asham ?(Young people Google dat)..  Awright awright…. Good night folks… after last night’s fiasco I decided to leave work early and tek time drive. Didn’t want a repetition of any more AFTA MI LEF moments. Having said that, let’s talk about the two schools that competed tonight. Central high vs Herbert Morrison.. So my Spider sense instantly started  tingling when I heard the name Central High.. Couldn’t quiet place WHERE mi know di name from.. After mixing my good  ole Lipton tea and bussing couple belches it  suddenly hit mi… A dem did send C-Bar packing in 2015 when in order to  advance to the quarter finals that year.. Was quiet a controversy especially since at one point in the  buzzer section C-BAR  was on 20 and Central High on 8. Di dark horsed  underdogs tek time passss di one time favourites Rabalac. Mi hear Rab did lack bright people that year..  Rumour had it that is di same man dem from Track team.. Not even boat dem did fit fi run.. Anyway, tonight that fabulous  Clarendonian team  Central High put on a splendid performance. Herbert Morrison started off well, but like Chinua Achebe things fell apart.. (Young people go Google it). Not sure if they’ll reach the finals, but mi like dem spirit.. PLUS dem uniform.. very dapper in full cream like dem a married. Camera man shoulda fling rice when dem win.  Final score 37 – 13.

Tonight’s episode of SCQ is entitled.. AFTA MI LEF… Now to put that subject into perspective let’s talk about my  loonngggg day…. So work ran a little late and in my hurry to reach home in time for SCQ mi preessss gas till unfortunately mi buck up inna traffic. Now AFTA MI LEF di route, bad drive 2 taxi man and tek soft shoulder me realize seh mi tank pon E.. Mi never waan miss SCQ so AFTA MI LEF mi empty tank inna parking lot  mi fly go inside mi house at the tip of 6:29PM. Headed into the kitchen for tea, match started but couldn’t stop fi  mix it AFTA MI LEF di water.  Now Jamaica… AFTA MI LEF so much tingssssss fi ketch dis episode, AFTA MI LEF mi good good wuk fi bruk mi neck, a DAT DEH performance mi reaaallllyy did a kill up miself fa? Hampton High and Morant Bay High a shoulda Sting uno did deh. I wouldn’t mek fun fi Shandy uno (Young people go and Google Shandy).. Mi never really expect much from Morant Bay  but HAMPTAN!!! HAM TAN DEH farm di fool a uno self.. The #5 ranking school in JUMAKER (Say it like Sister P)  for 2017 and a dis uno really come wid and mek Morant Bay win.
